Unibet Poker was launched in 2004 and was part of the Microgaming poker network, where it was the leading room. After 10 years of work in this network, the management of Unibet Poker decided to leave the Microgaming poker network in order to make some great changes in the poker room.

From March 3, 2014, Unibet Poker became an independent room and switched to the software from Relax Gaming LTD. Since that time, it has been considered as the flagship of online poker focused exclusively on amateur players. This allowed Unibet Poker to keep one of the weakest fields amongst European rooms.

Traffic review

After four years of active marketing, Unibet Poker was able to surpass the Microgaming poker network in terms of traffic size, and nowadays it is amongst the leading European rooms.

The most amount of action at Unibet Poker can be found late in the evening European time, when players from the UK and Northern Europe appear at the tables.

Due to the software feautures, only the total number of connections at each stake is visible in it. You can find the most players at 6-max NLHE tables. Here is an approximate amount of players at 6-max tables during the peak hours:

• NL4 — up to 110;
• NL10 — up to 60;
• NL20 — up to 40;
• NL50–NL100 — up to 25;
• NL200–NL400 — up to 12.

As you can see, the traffic distribution has a large bias towards lower stakes.
Pot-stake Omaha players will be able to get their share of action during the evening time. There are a little more than 10 tables at PLO4-PLO10. All other stakes can be divided into two groups: PLO25-50 – about 5-6 tables at each stake, PLO100-400 – 3-4 tables.

In the cash games lobby there are push-fold tables named banzai (with a 10bb buy-in). There are 3-4 tables at each of three stakes up to NL20.

Given the current traffic size at Unibet Poker there is a lot of action in SnG tournaments. They are represented by Heads-up and 5-max formats up to a stake of € 100. But almost the whole action happens in tournaments with buy-ins up to € 25. The total amount of tables at each of them ranges from 10 to 20.

Software & trackers

The Unibet Poker poker client was the first to implement the 16:9 ratio of the sides of the lobby and tables for the convenience of playing on gadgets. Overall, the software in all of its options is aimed at creating favorable conditions for recreational players.

At the top of the client there are large banners of current promotions. Below them, from left to right, there are three panels which allow you to choose the desired type of games. The seating process at all cash tables and in SnG tournaments is completely random. In the lobby you can see only the total number of connections at the limit.

The poker client provides more than 10 different table themes, amongst which there are also minimalistic ones that are very convenient for multi-tabling. Besides table themes, there are no other settings available at the table. No chat, no player notes.

Every player can create up to 5 aliases and from each of them seat at the tables during one session.

Rake structure

Unibet Poker has a very low rake at micro-stakes and a rake above average at limits starting from NL50:

• NL4 — 1%;
• NL10 — 3%;
• NL25–5%, PLO — 3%;
• NL50–5.5%, PLO — 3,5%;
• NL100 and above — 6%.

At NL4-NL10 rake caps are 1-2€. At higher stakes — 3€.

At push-fold banzai tables the rake is 1% with a 3€ cap.

When there are up to 3 people playing at the tables, the size of caps is 50% of usual.

Rakeback & bonuses

Unibet Poker offers a welcome bonus of €200. It is activated immediately after the first login to the client after registration. You will have 60 days to clear the bonus. It is paid in chunks after generating a certain amount of rake:

• €2 of rake — chunk of €1;
• €10 — €4;
• €50 — €15;
• €150 — €40;
• €588 — €140.

This bonus gives a 25% rakeback.

At Unibet Poker the VIP-system is not directly bound to the amount of generated rake. A player receives points for the amount of flops he sees at his limit. Later on, these points can be exchanged in the poker client for bonuses, cash rewards or tickets.
