Traffic review
TigerGaming’s player pool consists of North Americans mostly, so you can expect better traffic in their evening hours and, of course, during the weekends and holidays. At peak hours close to 1,500 players compete at the tables. Most of them can be found at the micro and low NL Hold’em, where you can choose from dozens of live tables. The traffic starts to slow down at NL100 and higher with only a few tables keeping the action alive.
The other formats that attract a lot of interest are PLO and PLO H/L. You can find more than 10 tables on the micro and low stakes and 5-6 on mid stakes. The Chico Network also has its own take on the fast-fold craze called Boost Poker. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a particularly good traffic.
The SNGs don’t attract as much interest as the cash tables, but you can find enough tables if you’re content with playing the lower levels. Sportsbetting Poker also has Jackpot SNGs called Windfall. At the start of each tournament, a random draw takes place, which set the prize pool. Based on the multiplier, you may win a huge prize of up to $60,000.
The tournament lineup during working days is pretty modest, but the weekend guarantees surely compensate for that. They appeal to a lot of amateurs, so you can expect a very loose play and attractive prize pools of up to $100,000. The total amount of prizes amounts to $250,000 in guarantees, so tournament players should definitely keep an eye on those.
Software & trackers
TigerGaming switched to the Connective Games software in 2016, which proved to be a successful move for the company. In 2017 Connective Games were shortlisted for the EGR B2B Awards in the Poker Software of the Year category but eventually lost to Playtech. The other brand in the Chico Poker Network using the same software is BetOnline Poker.
The software has a very modern look and supports all the necessary filters and options including player-to-player transfers and a Live Chat utility. You can enjoy a fast performance and swift multi-tabling. The casino is no longer marketed aggressively as before and the casino game banners have made way for a modest ‘Casino’ link, which is rather standard across the industry.
Rake structure
The rake at Sportsbetting Poker is collected using the classic Weighted Contributed system (WC). The operator takes 5.5% in rake up to a maximum amount of $5.
LIMIT | RAKE | CAP |
NL2-NL6 | 5.5% | 2 players: 0.25$ 3+ players: 0.5$ |
NL10 | 5.5% | 2 players: 0.5$ 3+ players: 1$ |
NL25-NL50 | 5.5% | 2 players: 1$ 3 players: 2$ |
NL100+ | 5.5% | 2 players: 1.5$ 3 players: 3$ |
Rakeback & bonuses
TigerGaming offers a 20% rakeback on your first deposit in the form of a 100% signup bonus up to $1,000. The bonus is valid for deposits between $50 and $1,000 and you will receive a 100% match. You need to e-mail support at support@tigergaming.com to claim the bonus and mention the bonus code NEWTG and your username. The match bonus will be loaded into your account within 48 hours. You get the bonus in chunks of $10 for each 5,000 Comp Points you accumulate. You will have 30 days to clear the entire bonus.
In addition to that, you’ll also get a ticket to the $10,000 New player freeroll. The tournament takes place on the second Sunday of the month.
TigerGaming does not have a standard tier-based VIP scheme, but you can get additional rakeback by collecting Comp Points.
You get 1 Comp Point for every cent paid in rake on cash tables. Comp Points are earned on tournaments only if the fee is equal to or exceeds $1. You will accumulate 100 Comp Points for every $1 paid in house fees on tournaments. You can use the Comp Points to buy-in to a number of tournaments and qualifiers.
In order to get the best amount of rakeback, you need to be smart about using your Comp Points and invest them in the tournaments and satellites with the biggest projected value such as qualifiers for the weekend guarantees and especially the Main Event. TigerGaming also runs regular cash races and leaderboards that help you boost your rakeback.
When calculating the rake, all bonuses, rakeback, 9.5% of all deposits, 2% of cashouts and 2,2% marketing fees are deducted from it.
